Keep Implanter – keep placer

keep implanter-keep placer
Dull tipBecause the end is not sharp, it causes less damage when placing grafts into pre-made slits. Less tearing or cutting of tissue.
Pre-made recipient sites (slits)The surgeon creates the channels first, which allows more control over angle, direction, depth. The KEEP is used just for placement, so less risk of creating new trauma while inserting.
Rolling / side loading motionThe grafts can be “loaded” onto the dorsal (back) surface of the non-dominant hand and then inserted via a rotating or sliding motion. This reduces handling of the grafts.
Less graft handlingFewer manipulations mean better graft survival; reduced chance of damage to the crucial parts (bulb, bulge) of the follicle.
Reduced staff / simpler workflowBecause the person implanting can load and place themselves (more autonomy), there is less need for assistant-loading.
Versatile for graft sizes (1-4 hairs)Available in different sizes so grafts with varying numbers of hairs can be accommodated.
Reduced “popping” in scarred/revision skinIn skin that’s more rigid (scars, prior surgery), sharp/needle implanters can cause more graft “pop-outs”. Using pre-made slits + dull insertion helps reduce that.
Better graft orientation / curl preservationSince the graft isn’t forced into a restrictive lumen, there’s less chance of the hair shaft getting bent or twisted during insertion.
Autoclavable / reusable cost-effectivenessKEEP can be sterilized and reused; the tool is supposedly cost-efficient.
